Are you seeking a business opportunity where:

We are looking for licensees from around New Zealand to promote and sell our range of products.  Each license costs only $3,500 (incl. GST if any) and you can purchase more than one license in more than one area.  For example:

  • if you wanted the license to sell our Fast Find in Glenfield, the cost would be $3,500;
  • if you wanted the license to sell our Wedding & Special Occasions Guide in (a) North Auckland and (b) Central Auckland, the cost would be $7,000 (we offer generous discounts to anyone buying three or more licenses).

 Each license lasts for 10 years, with a first right of refusal for the next 10 years at a rate to be agreed upon (but never to exceed twice the previous cost).  There are no ongoing fees.  Each publication produces a profit of $5,000 to $7,500, after production costs, each year.  Licensees may sell their license to a third party, subject to our consent which cannot be unreasonably withheld.

The advertising businesses are happy to invest when they discover how these publications are distributed, free-of-charge.  Each publication has a circulation of 5,000 copies – placed into the hands of the exact target market these businesses sell to. 

You don’t need any graphic design skills as this function is contracted out, unless you can and want to do it yourself.  The only job for you is to be a friendly person that is comfortable with approaching business owners, and having a friendly, low-pressure conversation (don’t worry, we show you what to say).  We give you all the training and other tools you need to be successful.

For only $3,500 (incl. GST if any) you will receive:

  1. an exclusive license to sell the relevant Specialty Guide or Fast Find in the area concerned;
  2. 1,000 x business cards, customised with your details;
  3. 250 x letterhead, customised with your details;
  4. 2 x invoice books, customised with your details (100 invoices; triple carbonated copies);
  5. a Business Plan template, which is ideal if you need bank finance;
  6. an easy-to-use budget (spreadsheet) for each publication project;
  7. access to wholesale printing rates, if required;access to wholesale graphic design rates, if required;
  8. an electronic “ready-to-print” template for the relevant Specialty Guide or Fast Find (your graphic designer simply needs to drop-in the individual advertisements);
  9. an e-version of the Specialty Guide or Fast Find, uploaded online when completed;
  10. sample Specialty Guides or Fast Finds, as sold in other territories;
  11. proven scripts, explaining how to approach business owners;
  12. full sales training, including tips about how to generate leads;
  13. a professional sales presentation, developed in Powerpoint (plus a hard copy);
  14. ongoing telephone support and coaching;
  15. training on how to design a great advertisement.

 You need to provide the following equipment at your own cost:

  • a cell-phone;
  • a reliable motor car;
  • a computer or laptop.

If you are a Bartercard member, we are willing to accept 100% of the sale price in Trade Dollars.  This is an ideal way to convert your Trade Dollars into cash.  Of course, you will be able to sell as many advertisements to other Bartercard members as you like.  Plus, you can use your own Bartercard printer and graphic designer (your two biggest business costs) if you wish.
